We Are the Lore Keepers
Lore (noun):
a body of traditions and knowledge on a subject or held by a particular group, typically passed from person to person by word of mouth.
I’m a chronic storyteller. Joyful mother. Hopeless nerd. Literary snob. Coffee and tea drinker. Former teacher. Homeschooling advocate. Creative entrepreneur. Aspiring world-traveler. Plant lover. Desert dweller. Self-taught musician. Christ follower.
I’ve been the kid on the fringes of a crowd, hoping and not hoping someone will talk to me. I’ve been a social outsider. The one with my nose buried in a book. The one being not invited to things because my worldview was the odd one out. I’ve found joy in slowing down and letting go of old branches. I’ve lived countless fictional lives through books, and crafted a few of my own.
I have a habit of gathering strays—social misfits like myself. The ones who don’t fit neatly into a box, who seek a purpose higher than themselves. I listen to friends for hours over cups of cold coffee, I find comfort in good conversation, and my table is always ready to receive a newcomer (pardon the mess).
And I’m always looking for meaning in the small moments of life—the things that form my personal “lore.”
Perhaps you relate? If so—welcome, fellow traveler. You are a kindred spirit walking this path of life. Let’s journey together.
